About Me

The short version: Age-group swimmer, high-school-and-collegiate runner, and lifelong baker gets job at Bicycling magazine; enters first triathlon. Hilarity and oxygen debt ensue.

The disclaimers:
1. All thoughts here are my own. That seems pretty obvious to me--as far as I know, no one else is lining up to claim them--but in the interest of being extra clear, I thought I'd throw that out there.

2. One of the perks of my day job is getting to test free tri stuff. I generally won't write about those products here--but you're encouraged to read all about them at bicycling.com. And when I do, I'll let you know.

3. I spend a fair amount of time running, biking, and swimming (and, um, eating), and even more time reading/writing/thinking about such activities. But in case the jumbo cupcake on the home page didn't tip you off, I'm not a nutritionist. Or a coach or doctor. By some people's definitions, I don't even train. But if what I do works for you, go for it--and tell me about it!
